How to find a protein powder you won't hate
As you may have already read about me, I have been in the FW for over two years so I have a lot of tips and ticks up my sleeve! I even started the program as a vegan! So when I tell you I know how hard it can be to get your protein in, SHEW- I mean it.
In this post, I want to address PROTEIN. Once you get your custom macros the daily protein amount may be shocking! To put it honestly, t's a BEAST at first and you’ll probably feel like a straight up caveman eating meat all day, but I'm here to help with that.
I wanted to share with you a few things to ORDER ASAP so you can start enjoying force feeding your protein. Yes, enjoy! I don't play... keep reading.
Protein powers are known to be kinda gross- we all know it! Now, don’t get me wrong, there are a few good ones, but lawsy you have to buy so many to find the one YOU actually like. It can be so so wasteful and super expensive. Someone will suggest one they absolutely love and you must must must get it- and you will mostly likely think it tastes like gravel. It's just the way it works, friends. I don’t make the rules.
Now, more than likely you will need to supplement your protein with a powder to get your grams up. It is what it is and I’m so sorry. Give it to God and then do one or more of these things- .
Get a tub of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides. 18g per two scoops and it is tasteless. You can add it to any liquid or even oatmeal and/or sauces
Go to 310 nutrition and buy the starter pack for $9 and try3-4 of their flavors. https://310nutrition.com/products/sk17
Go to bowmar nutrition and try their sample packs $2.25 each- https://bowmarnutrition.com/products/samples... (choose the vegan ones ONLY- the others are whey concentrate and hard on the tummy. The plant based ones- vegan- are truly SO DANG GOOD.)
BUT THIS IS THE BEST ONE!! Go target (or wherever) and get Ripple Brand UNFLAVORED Protein Powder (I'll post a picture in the comments). THEN, go to True Nutrition online and buy as many flavors as you can stand!! They have OVER 20 options and they last a REALLY long time and for just $7 each. https://truenutrition.com/p-7110-trueflavor-flavor-packs...
Today I made Lemon Cake Protein Cookie Dough and I've never been so impressed with myself. I think this is the best option because you will have so many more choices for way less money. Long gone are the days of having one huge tub of protein in one flavor that you have to choke down. Those were dark times and we are LIVING IN THE LIGHT this year, friends. Can I get an AMEN?!
I hope this helps you start to think about protein in different way. It doesn't have to be all meat or gravel powder. I'll post my protein cookie dough recipe in the next post. It is definitely my favorite (and most delicious) way to use protein powder. You wont want to miss it!
